Congresswoman Matsui Announces Internal Staff Promotions

Over the past two and a half years, Lacosta served as a Caseworker and Field Representative in Congresswoman Matsui’s district office in Sacramento.  As a Caseworker, Lacosta handled constituent requests on a wide variety of issues ranging from immigration to health care.  Before joining the Congresswoman’s office, Lacosta worked in the public policy department of Aging Services of California and interned for then-Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton.  She is a graduate of the University of California at Davis.

Carolyn Ramirez also started her new portfolio on Monday, which includes education, agriculture, and environmental issues.  A graduate of the California State University at Sacramento (CSUS), she holds both a bachelors and masters degree in Communication Studies.  Ramirez also previously worked for Sacramento State as the Internship Coordinator Assistant for the Communication Studies Department.
