Congresswoman Matsui Applauds Inclusion of Two Sacramento Flood Protection Projects in Senate WRDA Package
Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) released the following statement on the inclusion of The American River Common Features and West Sacramento projects in the Senate’s Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) package, which passed out of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee today:
“Today marks another step forward in our work to maximize the first line of defense against floods in Sacramento,” said Congresswoman Matsui. “The inclusion of The American River Common Features and West Sacramento projects  in the Senate’s WRDA package means we are one step closer to implementing critical levee construction and improvement work in our region. As this legislation moves through the House and Senate, I will continue fighting on behalf of Sacramento to ensure our flood protection projects are prioritized.”
