WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) announced that she has named Jeremy Marcus as her new Chief of Staff. Marcus comes to the Congresswoman’s office after serving eight years as Deputy Chief of Staff to Rep. Matt Cartwright (PA-08).

“I am thrilled to have Jeremy join our office as Chief of Staff,” said Congresswoman Matsui. “He brings a wealth of institutional knowledge, policy expertise, and management experience that will be invaluable to our office as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times. Jeremy has proven his political acumen and ability to push consequential legislation across his career, and I am looking forward to having him lead our team.”

Before serving with Congressman Cartwright, Marcus served as a Presidential Management Fellow at NASA and the Department of Commerce, Legislative Fellow to former Senator Jay Rockefeller, and Legislative Assistant to the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship under former Senator John Kerry. Marcus graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a B.S. in Science, Technology and Society and a M.S. in Management Science and Engineering.

Marcus replaces Kyle Victor, who served on the Congresswoman’s staff for 11 years as Legislative Director and Chief of Staff.
