Congresswoman Matsui Hosts Successful Federal Art Grants Workshop

CA • On Tuesday, March 22nd, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-Sacramento) hosted a special federal grants workshop to help area artists, galleries and museums find and apply for federal funding through the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).  The event was held in KVIE•’s Community Room, and featured a Congressional Liaison from the NEA, who gave a comprehensive overview of the Arts Endowment•’s application and grant selection process.

• The arts and cultural tourism are an in import part of our region's identity - and our economy,• said Congresswoman Matsui.  • This workshop helped provide our local arts community with the opportunity to learn more about how to access federal grant funding, and I look forward to hosting similar events in the future.•
