Congresswoman Matsui Joins Local AmeriCorps Volunteers as a Service • Member for a Day•
CA• Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-Sacramento) joined local AmeriCorps volunteers at the Sacramento Food Bank to honor their commitment to improving and strengthening our local community. Rep. Matsui was honored to serve as an AmeriCorps • Member for a Day• and recognize the important work that AmeriCorps volunteers do by presenting them with a copy of the House Resolution that Rep. Matsui introduced on their behalf. H.Res. 1338 passed the House Thursday with bi-partisan support, and commemorates the goals and ideals of AmeriCorps Week 2010, which is celebrated through this Saturday, May 15th.
