Your Top Priorities

Last month, I asked you to take a survey on what should be the top five priorities for the 112th Congress. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation.

Over 2,000 of you took the time to share your thoughts with me. After reviewing the results, one thing is clear: Congress' top priority must be creating jobs and continuing to strengthen our economy. In fact, 81 percent of you put this in your top priorities, and 34 percent listed it as your number one priority. I hear you loud and clear, and I will continue to work every day to help put Sacramentans back to work and to fight for the needs of middle class families.

After creating jobs, the four other top priorities for Congress were implementing and preserving the health care law; bringing our troops home; reducing our nation's deficit; and investing in infrastructure.

I appreciate all of the input I received through this survey, and will certainly continue to advocate for the issues most important to you.
