Sandbag Locations by County

Sacramento

Must be in Sacramento County Drainage Responsibility Area. 20 bags per person and residents must bring their own shovel.

  • Branch Center (3847 Branch Center Rd.)

  • Orangevale Community Center (6826 Hazel Ave.)

  • Jose P. Rizal Community Center (7320 Florin Mall Dr.)

  • Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Station #116 (7995 Elwyn Ave.) **New Rio Linda Location**

West Sacramento

  • Port of West Sacramento (2895 Industrial Blvd)

    • 15 bags per person and residents must bring their own shovel. Bags are at the guard shack and sand is available at the port entrance near railroad tracks

  • Public Works Building (1915 South River Road).

    • Only bags are available at this site. Go to port for sand.

Elk Grove

City recommends using hardware supply stores to prepare sandbags. City sandbag distribution is only for emergencies and emergency flood fighting.

Galt

Self-service sandbag station to be opened as needed.

  • Municipal Service Center, located at 495 Industrial Drive

Sandbags for County Unincorporated Residents:

Five sandbag locations are open for residents in the unincorporated areas of the unincorporated county:

  • Branch Center (3847 Branch Center Rd.)

  • Orangevale Community Center (6826 Hazel Ave.)

  • Westside Park (6555 West 2nd St.)

  • Wilton Fire Station (10661 Alta Mesa Rd.)

  • Point Pleasant United Methodist Church (3329 Point Pleasant Rd.)

More sandbag locations will open if the threat of additional flooding grows.

Sacramento County supplies the sand and bags, but residents will need to bring a shovel. There is a 20-bag limit per visit.
