Congresswoman Doris Matsui Concludes "Renewable Energy for a Renewed Economy Tour" with Final Stops
Sacramento, CA - Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) will conclude her three-day Sacramento energy tour, "Renewable Energy for a Renewed Economy Tour," tomorrow, Thursday, April 16th, 2009 with a SynapSense demonstration and meetings with two local energy efficiency focused clean tech companies at Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) at 10:00 AM and remarks at CleanStart's Annual PowerSurge Event for Sacramento clean technology companies, entrepreneurs, academia and investors at 6:00 PM at the West Sacramento City Hall Auditorium.
Tomorrow Congresswoman Matsui will get a chance to meet with representatives from American River Ventures, a local venture capital firm that invests in local companies with an energy efficiency technology focus, and two energy efficiency-focused clean tech companies, SynapSense and HID Laboratories. SynapSense will demonstrate how their wireless data center monitoring product, SynapSoft 5.0, which provides real-time visibility, enhanced monitoring, alerts and metrics, has enabled SMUD's data center to become more energy efficient.
Rep. Matsui will conclude her Renewable Energy for a Renewed Economy Tour by giving remarks at the annual CleanStart PowerSurge Event, where she will discuss clean energy components of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the comprehensive energy legislation recently introduced by leaders in the Energy and Commerce Committee on which she serves, a re-cap of her Renewable Energy for a Renewed Economy Tour, and the future of Sacramento's green economy.
