Congresswoman Doris Matsui to Participate in Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony of New Playground to Honor Cesar Chavez

Sacramento, CA - Rep. Doris O. Matsui (CA-05) will participate in the dedication of a new playground to honor Cesar Chavez tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at 3:00 PM. The new playground is located at the Salvation Army on 2550 Alhambra Blvd. in Sacramento.

"By providing a new playground in less than eight hours, over 250 local volunteers are transforming an empty space into a vibrant neighborhood-gathering place that serves our community's children," said Congresswoman Matsui. "The spirit of service has been renewed during this time of economic challenge, and Saturday's activities exemplify that spirit - truly from the ground-up."
