Congresswoman Matsui Joins Members of Congress in Participating on NOH8 On The Hill

Recently, Congresswoman Matsui took a stand for equality and participated in the third annual NOH8 On The Hill photo event. Congresswoman Matsui joined nearly 70 Members of Congress in posing with NOH8's iconic tattoo, in support of marriage equality and equal rights for all Americans.

The freedom to marry is a fundamental right, said Congresswoman Matsui. I participated in this year's NOH8 on the Hill campaign because I believe every American deserves respect and equal treatment under the law. It is time we take a stand for equality, promote compassion and prevent discrimination.

The portraits were released by NOH8 Campaign co-founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley on Monday. Congresswoman Matsui sported the NOH8 tattoo to symbolize solidarity with others who are taking a stand for equality. Congresswoman Matsui's photo is below.

This year's event really showed how far we have come in so short a time, NOH8 co-founder and photographer Adam Bouska said. Equality and freedom appear to be highly contagious.
