Congresswoman Matsui Statement on Fourth of July Holiday

CA Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-05) issued the following statement today in honor of Independence Day:

Today we celebrate 236 years since the birth of our nation. As we gather with friends and family to enjoy the parades, picnics and fireworks, I encourage everyone to take a moment and honor the dedicated men and women who continue to protect our freedom at home and abroad. It is thanks to their service and sacrifice that our freedom has endured all these years. To all those serving in uniform, our veterans, and the families who support them, thank you for your service. I wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day.
