Congresswoman Matsui Statement on Kaiser Permanente's Decision to Invest in Sacramento's Future

CA- Earlier today Kaiser Permanente announced that they have bought land in Sacramento's historic Railyards, signifying a key investment in downtown and the Sacramento Region's future. Congresswoman Doris Matsui, a member of the House of Representative's Energy and Commerce's Health Subcommittee released the following statement.

"I applaud Kaiser Permanente's decision to invest in the future of Sacramento by investing in the Railyards. Kaiser's vision for active, innovative and integral Railyards is key to the entire region and is shared by many. I have worked for a number of years to ensure the site can be transformed into a thriving urban community and am pleased that this vision is finally taking shape. The health care industry is absolutely critical to Sacramento's economy. Kaiser's investment is a testament to the importance of the sector and direction that it is going in. I am confident that both Kaiser's members and the entire community will benefit from their decision."
