Congresswoman Matsui Statement on Martin Luther King Day

Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) issued the following statement on Martin Luther King Day:

"Today we honor and celebrate the extraordinary life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an unparalleled leader who inspired our country to always strive for greatness. Dr. King envisioned a world where all men and women are equal in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of society. He is the embodiment of what any one person can accomplish with passion, and drive.

"As a champion for both civil rights and economic opportunity in America, Dr. King showed us all the true meaning of national service. As we honor Dr. King today, let us work to fulfill his dream of justice and opportunity for every American. I urge all Americans to think of how they can serve their communities to create a world that reflects Dr. King's vision."
