Congresswoman Matsui Statement on the Senate Confirmation of Sri Srinivasan to the DC Circuit Court

Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) issued the following statement after the United States Senate voted unanimously to confirm Srikanth Sri Srinivasan to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit:

Sri Srinivasan is one of the finest appellate lawyers in the country and I am pleased that the Senate moved quickly with his confirmation. As the first Asian Pacific American judge to be confirmed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the nation's second most powerful court, Mr. Srinivasan is an inspiration to the Asian Pacific American community.

Our nation's judicial system will benefit greatly from the addition of someone with Mr. Srinivasan's intellect, work ethic and prestigious career. I look forward to watching the continued progression of Mr. Srinivasan's already distinguished career, and I congratulate him on his historic confirmation.
