Matsui Applauds Senate Introduction of Her Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act
Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-05) applauded Senators Mark Pryor (D-AR) and Tom Udall (D-NM) for introducing companion legislation of her Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act in the United States Senate.
The Matsui legislation is part of House Democrats Make It In America Agenda, and was passed by the House in the 111th Congress. Matsui, a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, reintroduced the Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act as H.R. 502 on January 26, 2011.
I applaud Senators Pryor and Udall for introducing companion legislation today to H.R. 502, the Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act, which I reintroduced in the House of Representatives in January, said Congresswoman Matsui. This legislation is a job creator, and will provide the much-needed manufacturing and export assistance to American small- and medium-sized clean energy companies. The Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act will put innovative American-made clean energy products at the forefront of our strategy to create jobs at home, while boosting American exports abroad.
