Matsui Denounces President Trump's Executive Order Sabotaging the Affordable Care Act

Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) issued the following statement on President Trump's signing of an executive order designed to undermine the Affordable Care Act (ACA):
"Today, President Trump signed an executive order that means families will be one illness or injury away from financial ruin. Association Health Plans sold across state lines won't be subject to essential health benefits requirements, which means people will be left with bare-bones plans that don't provide coverage for basic services like hospital visits.
"Instead of ripping protections away, we should be working together in a bipartisan manner to stabilize the marketplaces and ensure that everyone has access to the comprehensive care they will need."
