Matsui Statement on FCC Net Neutrality Vote
October 4, 2017
Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) issued the following statement after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted today to begin the process to roll back net neutrality protections:
"Today, the Trump FCC took a step to undermine Americans' digital future. Net neutrality rules protect access to the free and open Internet that is essential for participation in our economy and our democracy. The Republican FCC proposal would ensure that those who can pay to play have Internet access, while everyone else is left in the slow lane. The American people know what's at stake here, and I'm confident they will continue to speak out."
