Matsui Statement on the Passing of Rose King

SACRAMENTO, CA. – Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) issued the following statement after the passing of Rose King, long-time mental health advocate and California political strategist.

 “Rose King was an inspiring leader and powerful voice for improving the lives of all Californians,” said Congresswoman Matsui. “Throughout her illustrious career, she worked tirelessly to ensure that mental health care was treated on a level playing field with the rest of our nation’s health care system. While we mourn her loss, we must continue Rose’s work lifting up the voices of California’s communities and families. My prayers are with Rose’s family and friends during this difficult time.
