Today, as we celebrate the one year anniversary of the health care law, the Affordable Care Act, I wanted to share a video I made with my Co-Chair of the Congressional Task Force on Seniors, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Together, we explain how the health care law is benefitting America's seniors.
Today, the Republican majority has brought H.R. 839, the HAMP Termination Act of 2011, to the House floor for a vote, which will take place in the next hour. By Congresswoman Doris Matsui and Secretary Kathleen Sebelius
This Monday, we will celebrate Memorial Day - a day where we pause to honor those heroes whose lives were lost in service to our country. We are forever indebted to their sacrifice.
As we go to crank up our air conditioners this summer season, I wanted to let you know about a bill I recently introduced that would help us reduce our energy bills.
I continue to work every day to see that Sacramento's flood protection needs are met and flood insurance is affordable. This week on the House floor, we considered two bills that are of the utmost importance not only to Sacramento families and businesses, but to the needs of families and businesses all across the nation.
