Today, the House passed the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) Reform andAccountability Act, H.R. 384 by a vote of 260-166. The bill included an amendmentfrom Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) that will help homeowners across thecountry.

Rep. Doris Matsui Statement on Draft of Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Plan
Federal Funding to Assist Local Projects
Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) was appointed by the Speaker to continue to serve on the exclusive Rules Committee and receive a special waiver to also serve on a second exclusive committee, Energy and Commerce.
Today, Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) and Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) reintroduced bicameral legislation that would defer foreclosure activity for up to nine months for certain responsible homeowners who are struggling with their home loans.
Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) renewed her call today for Americans to participate in a national day of service on Monday, January 19th, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
