SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-07), Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, announced over $1.86 billion in federal funding for California broadband infrastructure. The funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program, which represents the single-largest federal government effort to expand digital connectivity across the United States.
