Gov. Gavin Newsom, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats joined Republicans as California leaders Saturday evening prayed for President Donald Trump after he fell to the ground, injured as gun shots rang out during a rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump issued a lengthy statement describing what he experienced. “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear,” he said.
Reactions came in swiftly from California’s political world.

“Violence has no place in our democracy,” Newsom said in a tweet.

The Hanami Line officially opened last month in Sacramento, the Sacramento Tree Foundation said.

The Hanami Line, located just south of the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity, along the Sacramento River, is the city’s first cherry blossom park and is part of Robert T. Matsui Park, named for the late Congressman.

According to the foundation, the new cherry blossom grove features a tall tree light-up sculpture, “four separate… mini forests that vary in design from urban to organic,” and Japanese parasol-inspired shade structures.

The capitol of California has embraced a new aesthetic through the Hanami Line, its very first cherry blossom grove, providing Sacramento with a splash of Japanese tradition right along the riverfront. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, CongresswomanDoris Matsui (CA-07), co-chair of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) and Congressman Kevin Mullin (CA-15) introduced the International Maritime Pollution Accountability Act, a bill which would impose fees on greenhouse gas emissions and other toxic air pollutants emitted by large marine vessels carrying cargo destined for U.S. ports.

That’s compared to supplies of maybe 40 or 50 commonly used drugs in the U.S. experiencing shortages 20 years ago, according to Rep.
