Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) issued the following statement on the U.S. airstrikes in Syria: "Bashar al-Assad has continuously violated human rights and moral decency. His latest use of chemical weapons in Syria against innocent people was a horrific, inhumane act of violence. While the Assad regime must be held accountable for these appalling actions, it is imperative that the Administration come to Congress to authorize any further escalation of U.S. involvement in Syria."

Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) and Congressman Brett Guthrie (R-KY), co-chairs of the Congressional Spectrum Caucus, today reintroduced the Federal Spectrum Incentive Act. The radio frequencies known as spectrum power wireless technologies such as smartphones, Wi-Fi, the Internet of Things, and other innumerable applications that affect our daily lives. Demand has skyrocketed over the last decade for more commercial spectrum as use of digital technology has dramatically increased.

Today Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) marked Equal Pay Day and cosponsored the Paycheck Fairness Act, legislation that would strengthen the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and guarantee that women can challenge pay discrimination and hold employers accountable. Matsui joined Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) in cosponsoring the legislation in the House of Representatives. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) introduced the companion legislation in the Senate.
