This week the Center for Medicare andamp; Medicaid Services' (CMS) independent Actuary told leaders of the Senate Finance and House Energy andamp; Commerce Committees that Trumpcare would lead to higher Medicare Part B premiums for seniors across the country in order to provide a tax break to pharmaceutical corporations. The CMS Actuary estimated that Medicare Part B premiums would increase by $8.7 billion in total over the next ten years.

Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) announced that the Crocker Art Museum has been awarded a $227,909 Museums for America matching grant in support of its "Block by Block 2.0" project. Collaborating with local partners, the project will bring the Art Ark mobile museum, as well as pop-up art educational experiences and internships, to Promise Zone neighborhoods in Sacramento. "Everyone deserves access to the creative power of art," said Congresswoman Doris Matsui.
