Today, Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) welcomed that Damarys Solorzano, the Congressional Art Competition winner from California's Fifth District, to Washington, D.C.. Ms. Solorzano is a junior at Florin High School in Sacramento, Calif. Today, she will participate in a reception honoring the winners from across the nation and see the unveiling of her artwork in the United States Capitol.

Congresswoman Doris Matsui Sends Letter to Administration Regarding Plan for Bay-Delta Region

Citing the West Coast salmon crisis, the drought, and the Bush Administration's failed record in protecting the health of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, five Democratic members of Congress today strongly cautioned Administration officials against weakening protections for California's Bay-Delta region and asked for detailed information about how federal agencies plan to make the latest Delta rescue effort successful.
