Today Congresswoman Doris O. Matsui (CA - 05) introduced the Natomas Basin Flood Protection Improvements Act. This bill would authorize federal participation in the Natomas Levee Improvements Program, which will ultimately give the Natomas Basin over 200-year level of protection.

Sacramento to Receive Over $4.7 Million in Funding to Address Homelessness through Economic Recovery Package Passed Last Week
Sacramento will receive $4,771,899; with the City of Sacramento receiving $2,375,126, and Sacramento County $2,396,773. The funds were made available through the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which Rep. Matsui voted for and President Obama signed into law last week.
