The Presidential proclamation adds nine historic sites to the national heritage of monuments and memorials, including the Tule Lake Japanese-American Internment Camp.
This funding will help NeighborWorks in Sacramento continue to provide free counseling assistance to families at risk of losing their homes, help homeowners understand the complex process and identify possible courses of action so they can make informed decisions and take action.

Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-05) introduced the Public Safety Enhancement Act today. The bill will allow construction of new fire or police stations to take place in urban areas such as Natomas, where the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is remapping the area's flood zone designation.
