Matsui Statement On The Passing of Journalist Leo Rennert

Washington, D.C. Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) released the following statement on the passing of former Sacramento Bee reporter Leo Rennert:

Washington, D.C. U.S. Representative Doris Matsui (D-CA) today announced a bill to encourage further research, education and treatment of food allergies.

The Food Allergy Safety, Treatment, Education, and Research (FASTER) Act helps to improve the health and safety of Americans with food allergies and related disorders. The bill updates allergen labeling laws, increases research, expands patient experience data to include food allergies, and studies the economic costs of food allergies.

Sacramento, CA Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) released this statement regarding Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report being submitted to U.S. Attorney General William Barr:

"The American people have a right to know what Special Counsel Mueller's investigation has uncovered. Last week, the House voted 420-0 to urge the Department of Justice to make the Special Council's report public to the fullest extent of the law. I stand by my vote and urge U.S. Attorney General William Barr to do exactly that -- release the full report to the public."
